After graduation, she got a job as an ABA Therapist, under the supervision of a BCBA, working with individuals with Autism, ranging from the ages of 4-22. After four and a half years working as an ABA Therapist, she went back to school to obtain her Master’s. She got her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health, from Kean University, in New Jersey. Svetlana believes that each person is a unique individual, with a unique set of concerns. She takes a person-centered approach and tailors her therapy based on the unique set of needs of each client. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, behavioral concerns (ex. ODD), and self-esteem. Her specialty lies in kids between the ages of 3-17, but she also works with adults. Aside from the traditional talk therapy, she will also use CBT approaches, as well as play, sand tray, and art therapy with the kids and adolescents. Her goal as a therapist is to ensure that her clients have a safe space where they feel accepted, comfortable, and in control, without any judgment, to work through their healing process. In her spare time, Svetlana enjoys spending time with friends, and exploring new sights and eateries. Especially being new to Texas! She enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, doing puzzles, doing yoga, dancing, and finding new movies and shows to watch.
