Mae-Lin Yu Mendoza is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Texas (since July 2012) and Michigan (since September 1993). Her graduate internship and research study entailed vocational rehabilitation of insured clients. In the ensuing years, Ms. Mendoza became a Vocational Coordinator for high school students with special needs, including at-risk youth. Before relocating to the Dallas area, she conducted clinical interviews in determining eligibility for disability benefits. More recently, her experience included facilitating therapy groups in an inpatient psychiatric unit.

Ms. Mendoza has provided Christian counseling services in both a church-affiliated practice and outpatient clinics. She specializes in seeing individuals who are dealing with depression and anxiety, bipolar disorders, premarital counseling, couples therapy, childhood sexual abuse, grief and loss, unplanned pregnancy, behavioral problems, and career transitions.

A member in good standing with Christian Counselors of Texas since September 2007, Ms. Mendoza served as Secretary of the Austin chapter for two of those years. She has spoken on topics ranging from parenting to caregiving. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented therapy and, when appropriate, play therapy for children. Ms. Mendoza can provide a God-centered, biblically-based approach that may promote healing for her clients.
