Dani Larsen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals in a variety of settings. Her career began at a homeless shelter for runaway youths in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. There, she provided group and individual counseling, while also instructing life skills and nutrition classes to clients. From there, she worked as an in-home family therapist, utilizing the Functional Family Therapy Model. Through this model, she assisted clients in improving their communication, anger management, and parenting skills, while also reducing delinquent behaviors in troubled adolescents. Dani currently sees individuals, couples, and families, and is comfortable in helping clients sort through issues such as but not limited to anxiety, depression, communication & parenting struggles, grief, trauma, and marital issues. She utilizes a holistic and empathic approach to her counseling to ensure all clients feel heard and understood. You will be provided with a non-judgmental environment, and together we will work on the goals you have established for treatment so that you can begin to thrive! Dani is trained in S.A.F.E. EMDR.
