Psychological Evaluations
Psychological assessment/evaluation is often helpful in understanding the strengths and challenges someone may have in their cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning. The psychological assessment process allows for diagnostic clarity and individualized recommendations. Clinicians use tests and other standardized assessment tools to measure and observe a client’s behavior to arrive at a diagnosis and guide treatment. Psychological assessment services are provided for adults and children ages 6-17 years old. The assessment process includes intake, clinical interview during which pertinent historical and familiar information is gathered. This is followed by the testing, during which the assessment takes place, and finally a feedback session where results and recommendations will be discussed and a thorough and comprehensive individualized assessment report will be provided.
